The adventures of happy boy Zeus!

big, happy & handsome!

My Story Goes World Wide!

So um, a lot has happened since mommy last blogged. My daddy came home from working all summer and my brothers were sooo happy to have the family together! Daddy didn’t see it, but when he came home I ran down the hallway, spun in a circle and jumped up and hugged him- angels can still do these things you know. The day before daddy came home mommy and Jasper went to my memorial because my permanent memorial stone arrived. They went with one of mommy’s friends- Natasha. She is really nice and she saw me on my last earth day and gave me pets. They cleaned all around my memorial and Jasper laid with me in it- he really seems to like visiting me there (I’m with him everywhere, but he remembers seeing me again for the last time there). Captain doesn’t really seem to find it as peaceful to go, so mommy let him stay home.

Mommy bought my brothers identical super hero capes like mine and her friend Virgil who took all the nice photos of me did a memorial photo shoot with my brothers at a mansion. The photos are really beautiful. They sure love me A LOT! I was right there with them when they were taking the photos and they are Zuzu approved. Mommy’s friend Sonya had to come help because my brother Captain is pretty wild. They had long leashes on my brothers that were photoshopped out and mommy thought there was NO WAY they got the shot, but they did!

For my one month angel anniversary mommy took Cap on the same cruise we went on the day before I became an angel. He wore the super hero cape there too and he went right over to the same spot I sat when I rode the boat! Cap really liked it and everyone loved him just like they loved me! I was happy he got to share the experience. Mommy took Jasper to see my favorite baker and go for a hike at the park earlier that day- I’m so happy my brothers are getting lots of mommy time.

And you are never going to believe this! An article was written about me and people from all over the world have read it and commented! Mommy says it’s important to keep sharing my story- to let people know that adult dogs, shelter pups, tripawds, doggies with cancer… all deserve lots and lots of love and we will love you lots and lots in return.

Well more to come soon, mommy has been having kind of a hard time lately- she gets sad a lot and tries not to cry- but I see her let some tears slip down her cheek every once in awhile and hold my teddy bear or sit on my bed- she talks to me and I’m right there; I hear every word.  Mommy, I’m ALWAYS right there- I won’t leave you- never ever ever. You don’t have to be strong all the time, but try not to stay sad for too long. I like seeing you laugh and play with my brothers and tell silly stories about me. I love you mommy! XOXO Zubear.

  1. What a beautiful post. The memorial was beautiful. The pictures are very awesome. My favorite was the one with the cape on the door with the other 2 looking at it.
This part of the journey is the hardest. So individual and so personal.

❤️💕🐾 Thank you. He deserved everything beautiful and loving in the world ❤️ Just happy we could give him a small piece.

  2. Amazing story! We found a brendle African Mastiff on Craigslist named Zeus, that was also needing a home! He is so sweet & amazing too. The whole lap thing I can relate to because our Zeus constantly sits in our lap & our feet lol, just leans on us like we’re a wall lol … Shortly after we got him, we had him neutered. Then we noticed a scab that was hard & I would inspect it, kinda picking it to see what it was. It developed into 3 tumors, and we had them removed (3). He’s a loving dog, a big baby. The couple that gave him to us was in the military, and he was crated(caged) 10hrs a day. They loved him, but to me that’s not how I love an animal, especially with his face!! We made him an Emotional Support Animal for my daughter too. Just wanted to say Thank you for sharing your story!! XOXO

Aww made me smile- Zeus was a leaner lap dog as well- the bigger they are the more of a baby 💕 Zeus would hit me with his paw for more pats in the mornings and when he was done he’d walk off- after the amputation he’d lean into me and I’d pat him then ask him if it was enough and keep patting and asking until he’d had his share of pats and he’d walk off lol- was too cute- I’m so glad you are able to give your Zeus the love and attention he deserves ❤️🐾

  3. So beautiful! The memorial is breathtaking! Love the super hero capes! What an amazing tribute to sweet Zuzu the worldwide article was…hold on to your glorious memories and you’re right Zuzu walks along side of you always!

  4. Ohhhh my gosh Zeus, what a great update from heaven. I LOVE that your story has reached so many people. Imagine how many doggies are getting a chance at a great life because of you. WOW!

And Virgil’s photos are terrific, he really captured your brothers’ essence and how much they were guided by your wisdom. You can see it in their eyes! They sure miss you but you taught them a lot my friend, and now they can be there for your humans. That is a legacy that will live on furever.

Keep on doing good things from heaven Zeus, the world needs you now more than ever. xoxo

  5. I LOVE ❤️ these pictures. I had been waiting for you to post them since you mentioned the photo shoot and I have been back to look at them several times. Every time I look at the one with Zeus’ cape hanging on the door and his brothers wearing theirs and gazing up at it I just tear up. I can’t help it. It is the sweetest thing. I love the pics of Jasper and Cap in their capes too. What a beautiful tribute. I’m so glad Zeus’ story is being told, he’s amazing – and you are too! Thanks for sharing this it is amazing. Zeus would just love this and have that huge smile on his face.
