Wow, it’s been YEARS since mommy updated my page! I have so much to share with you! Mommy found her forever person and they started a family and we have a tiny human!!!! My big brothers Jasper & Captain are with me now at the Rainbow Bridge and we look after our tiny human who just turned 3 and little doggy bro Bruno (well he’s actually kinda old lol).
Jasper had insulinoma, mommy of course got him all the best care in the world and he stayed with mommy until she safely made it half way through her pregnancy. Once the full body scan showed the baby was perfectly fine Jasper knew he could go to the spirit world and joined me that weekend. He was 13! Mommy included Jasper touches throughout the baby shower with his photo, giving away heart shaped red Jasper stones in succulents to guests and having tiny red paw prints on game cards.
Mommy says Jasper is our little person’s guardian angel but we all watch over him. A few months ago our goofy brother Captain aka Cappy Cap, Capybara, came to join us. Cap had laryngeal paralysis, diabetes, cushings but mommy managed it for years with surgery, insulin and medications and while most doggies don’t make it much longer after diagnosis Cappy impressed everyone even his physical therapist because years later he was still getting up and standing until his last day. He was 14.5 years old when mommy decided to let him go on a happy day even though it was so very hard because it wasn’t a “crisis.” She planned a Mardi Gras party since he is the Louisiana state dog and always the life of the party. They ordered king cakes from New Orleans to give to guests, had special Captini drinks, beads, a second line band on the TV, beignets, and all his favorite people came to see him. When it came time he was surrounded with love. Everyone marched into our beloved vet’s office with cakes, music, beads smiling and laughing and petting Cap.
Though mommy had been worried about making a decision too soon once the medicine went in he immediately let out the biggest quickest shortest exhale like he had been holding on just pushing through because that’s who he is. It actually brought mommy a lot of comfort. Mommy will be going to the memorial park soon to decorate the new giant memorial with all of us together. She always brings holiday wreaths and we each have a special glass pumpkin. We make sure to send mommy signs. We helped Cap send a giant full rainbow right over our memorial garden at home and a lightening bolt went across the middle of the rainbow after mommy said “it’s Cap!” and then it faded in front of her eyes and her phone died right after she recorded it.
Someone had also recorded the beautiful rainbow and made a video posted to YouTube from Annapolis… which is where I had all my special last days and boat ride that Cap use to take in remembrance of me- of course I had to help Cap send his first sign! People would ask mommy after I passed if she thought she’d have the same connection and signs with my brothers that she does with me and if she’d do all the same elaborate rituals of decorating memorials and she said of course! My brothers were with mommy 13-14 years- how could they not! Mommy always sees Jasper with his beautiful red fluffy fur showing he’s healthy in her dreams and Cap has his ways she has notes of all of our signs we send. Bruno has had a hard time without Cap. Cap was his best friend and they snuggled all day. Even though they had more than 4 beds!
He’s finding his way and more protective knowing he’s the only one. He is getting older and has some health issues but so far he is doing okay. Our mini human loves animals. He had his first birthday at a local rescue farm and still visits. He talks about animals all day and loves saying hi and petting Jasper’s stray kitty that still lives in the front yard “bush kitty” renamed “cashew” by our new dad. Mommy says having her is like still having a piece of Jasper here. Well that’s all for now.

Woowwwwww! It’s so amazing to hear from you and see how you’ve been watching over your furmily! With your brothers by your side now, you’ve all proved that love wins and life does get better for the humans who are so sad without their beloved fur kids by their sides.
Zu, you really helped your mama through some hard times after you transitioned. We worried about her a lot, and over the years little by little, she got stronger. Because you stopped by every now and then, we could see she was trying so hard to be brave and honor your legacy while moving forward with your angel spirit by her side.
You were there for her, you helped her manage Cap’s transition so beautifully! To see her bright smiling face with your ADORABLE human brother in that photo, well it just brings us such joy to know life is good with all of you. Thank you so much for letting us know.
